LUC was commissioned in June 2022 to develop the Natural Environment Evidence for Herefordshire Council  to support the delivery of the new Local Plan, providing a framework to guide sustainable development. The Herefordshire Landscape Character Assessment (LCA) forms a component of this work and identifies and explains the unique combination of elements and features that make the landscapes of Herefordshire distinctive. It will help guide positive change that conserves, enhances, restores, or creates local character, ensuring that the inherent character and qualities of Herefordshire’s landscape can continue to be appreciated.
